After a positive start to the season, Aston Villa's first Premier League defeat of the season was always going to be a difficult one to take. It arrived on Saturday, with Arsenal coming to Villa Park and scoring three goals in a few first half minutes to take the sting out of a game that might have ended differently but for a remarkable save from Ciaran Clark's header.
Yes, Ciaran Clark. Villa's first team was demolished by a sickness bug on Saturday that left Darren Bent and Nathan Baker unable to report, Ashley Westwood unable to start and Andi Weimann unable to finish. No pun intended.
In this week's Aston Villa Review, Chris and Steve discuss the Arsenal loss as well as new contracts for Paul Lambert and Alan Hutton, and the upcoming fixture at Chelsea.
