Aston Villa began the weekend staring down the barrel of three games in eight days, both a blessing and a curse for a team short of match fitness and fluency. Saturday took Tim Sherwood's men to Selhurst Park, where Crystal Palace were gifted two of their three Premier League points by a remarkable defensive cock-up involving Brad Guzan and Jordan Amavi. Villa had previously pegged Palace back thanks to Adama Traore's ability to force an own goal.
In this week's show Chris and Steve look back on Traore's debut, a point thrown away and all the other moments worth analysing from Saturday's game, before turning our attention to the future and Tuesday's League Cup Second Round game against Notts County at Villa Park. After that it's back to league action and a brief preview of Aston Villa v Sunderland next Saturday afternoon.
