Typing as I listen but on the first half of the show (Go Ahead Eagles, Harvey Elliott) I have a couple of thoughts:
I'm pretty sure last week at Bodymoor was all about the Manchester City game, so even Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday would have seen video sessions and drills focusing on beating Guardiola and we looked past Go Ahead Eagles, not out of arrogance but out of necessity. The win justified it.
The Harvey Elliot ten game clause seems to be the internet running with it. If it were a thing would he have come on in the 86th minute against Feyenoord when we were 2-0 up?
I'm with you on Elliott. Everything we hear about how the football department works suggests that Emery wouldn't have signed him if he didn't plan to make use of him eventually.
My guess is that Emery wasn't massively keen and is willing to make that clear but if he planned to just toss the loan off, Elliott ultimately wouldn't have been signed deadline day or not.
