Villa ended Brighton's undefeated home record to move into third place in the Premier League
Coming back from one goal down has been a familiar theme for Aston Villa in the Premier League this season but they had to go one better at Brighton & Hove Albion.
Villa conceded three times in total at the Amex Stadium but recovered from going 2-0 down to climb to third in the Premier League table.
I was enjoying a much younger Villa team getting knocked out of the Birmingham Senior Cup by the mighty Coventry Sphinx at the time this game was played.
The unusual perspective of watching this one without pressure seems to have given me a slightly different conclusion to most supporters.
Villa conceded a sloppy goal and an unlucky goal, certainly, but my feeling was that they were the better team in the first half of each half and most of the final quarter of the match.
