The most played football fixture in English top-flight history returns on Saturday and it has a new permanent home for the first time since 1897.

Aston Villa moved into Villa Park that year, half a decade after their next Premier League opponents, Everton, started their long and famous tenure at Goodison Park.

Villa travel to Merseyside this weekend but won’t be parking up at Stanley Park for the first time in generations. Unai Emery and his team will be the second Premier League team to play away at the Toffees’ new home at Bramley-Moore Dock.

Everton opened the Hill Dickinson Stadium in exactly the right way, beating Brighton & Hove Albion to claim their first win both at the new ground and in the new season. A subsequent away win at Molineux merely underlined their credentials.
