Aston Villa and Brighton & Hove Albion are separated by two points, with Villa nestled happily in fourth place in the Premier League table as they travel to the Amex Stadium to take on the Seagulls on Wednesday evening.

After five wins from five in all competitions, spirits are high at Villa. Brighton’s exceptional home form threatens to put a dent in the mood.

Incidentally, Villa are in the rare position of playing two matches at once on Wednesday.

While the first team squad is in Falmer, the likes of Sam Proctor, TJ Carroll and Villa’s nippers will face Northern Premier League Division One Midlands side Coventry Sphinx in the Birmingham Senior Cup.
