Aston Villa have completed the signing of Nice striker Evann Guessand.
Villa announced that Guessand had joined the club last week and he featured briefly in the weekend friendlies against Marseille and Villarreal.
The officially undisclosed fee for the Ivorian is reportedly around £30 million inclusive of add-ons, making him by far the biggest investment Villa have made in the transfer market this summer. He has signed a five-year contract, which runs to the summer of 2030.
The 24-year-old will wear the number 29 and becomes a Premier League player having developed a fearsome reputation in Ligue 1 with his performances and explosive style last season.
